We have launched a Shortcut point system that rewards creators and users of Shortcuts.
What are shortcuts?
A Shortcut is combination of 2 or more DeFi actions that are executed in one transaction.
Each shortcut represents an intent and each intent is its own separately deployed Smart Contract.
A user can execute a specific intent by sending ETH to a Shortcut.
Each Shortcut Contract has a dedicated ENS domain, giving end-users ability to perform intents simply by sending ETH to human-readable addresses.
Example Shortcuts:
toBase.eth = bridge your ETH to base.
stake.onLido.eth = stakes your ETH on Lido & Curve.
aave.onArb.eth = adds ETH collateral to your AAVE vault on Arbitrum.
Why use Shortcuts?
Save time: don’t wait for one transaction to settle in order to move on to the next one.
Save gas: bundling actions to be executed in a single transaction, cuts down total gas costs.
Stay safe: Avoid phishing sites by never visiting any websites to execute DeFi actions.
What do Shortcut Points give you?
🏦 Entitle holders to governance.
🏞️ Build a sustainable ecosystem.
📈 Incentivize a long-term view of Shortcuts.
🫡 Disproportionately reward those most loyal.
How does it work?
Each Shortcut transaction generates points for both users & creators.
Users: deploy ETH via Shortcuts and earn points.
Creators: anyone can become a creator of Shortcuts and earn passive points from other’s usage.
See how many points you've accrued on the Leaderboard.
How are points calculated?
Each Shortcut transaction generates total claimable points for both user + shortcut creator. Current split: user=80% | creator=20%
Total claimable points for transaction = ETH Deposited * Shortcut Complexity Factor * Emissions multiplier.
ETH Deposited = ETH sent into the shortcut address by the user.
Shortcut Complexity Factor = each shortcut varies based on how many actions are bundled. E.g. a simple bridge shortcut which send your ETH to an L2 has a Shortcut Complexity Factor of 1, while stake on Beefy involves bridging and staking on L2 - has a Complexity Factor of 3.
Emissions multiplier = starts at 100 and lowers by 0.0002 with every 1 ETH in volume.
What if the current Emissions multiplier is 90 and I send 10 ETH at one time?
You will receive points based on the current emissions multiplier (90) * total deposit (10 ETH). So if you are sending more than 1 ETH at a time your rate of emissions will not drop with every 1 ETH.
